Inside Natasha Lyonne’s “Retro Barbie” Beauty Transformation for the 2020 Golden Globes - Vogue

On and off screen, Natasha Lyonne gives good hair. Last February, her spiraled shag in Netflix's Russian Doll caused an Internet sensation, inspiring legions of curly-haired women to shear a fresh curtain of fringe. Then, at last night's 2020 Golden Globes, where she was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series for her role in the dark and zany series, she served up another statement-making style to be coveted.

Before Lyonne slipped into her form-fitting black Moschino dress designed by Jeremy Scott, hairstylist Jillian Halouska curled the star's auburn lengths into a cascade of "ultra-sculpted" side-swept pin curls, setting them into place with blasts of OGX's Shea Sleek Humidity Blocking Hairspray. The inspiration? "Retro Barbie hair," says the pro. Furthering the vintage vibe, longtime friend and makeup artist Molly Stern nodded to "the bombshells of the 1960s" by giving Lyonne smoked lids, lush lashes, and a pale, pinky beige pout courtesy of Armani Beauty's Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick in 100.
